British Independent Film Awards: The Nomination!

Domenica sera sono state annunciate a Londra, dal grande Ewan McGregor, le candidature per la sedicesima edizione dei British Independent Film Awards, assegnati, quindi, dal 1998, per premiare merito e risultati del cinema indipendente britannico.

Sono 8 candidature sono andate a "Starred Up", dramma mercenario diretto da David Mackenzie (miglior film, regista, sceneggiatura, miglior attore protagonista, ben 2 come miglior attore non protagonista, produzione, contributo tecnico); appena sotto, (7 candidature) troviamo "The Selfish Giant" (miglior film, regista, sceneggiatura, miglior attrice non protagonista, 2 come miglior talento emergente, e miglior produzione).
Da segnalare la presenza in lista di nomi come Tom Hardy, grande interprete per "Locke" (qui, potrete trovare la mia recensione fatta a Venezia), le 4 candidature per "Philomena" (miglior film, migliore attrice protagonista a Judi Dench, miglior attore protagonista a Steve Coogan, miglior sceneggiatura), Scarlett Johansson come miglior attrice per "Under the Skin" (fischiato alla prima a Venezia, tra l'altro), e il nostro Paolo Sorrentino con "La Grande Bellezza" come Miglior Film Indipendente Straniero!
Manca davvero poco al periodo frenetico dove avremmo montagne di film che concorreranno agli Oscar (pellicole che sono già state in gran parte presentate tra i festival di Cannes, Venezia, Toronto e Londra), ma per ora prendiamo fiato e  incrociamo le dita per la nostra Grande Bellezza!
